Our name: our industry

Plant-Tech 2010, the European Plant Engineering and Design Conference is the premier event for the European oil, gas, process and power industry. This conference is the European forum where all industry professionals will be updated on the latest advances in the technologies for plant design, plant engineering and plant information management.

Plant-Tech 2010 deals with all aspects of the Plant Life Cycle with an emphasis on plant design and engineering and more specifically on plant information data management during all the phases of the life cycle, from concept to demolition.

At Plant-Tech 2010 we bring the key players in our industry; the owner operators, the EPC contractors and the top of the plant information management solution providers. It is our aim to continue with the tradition for the managers and engineers in the european oil and gas industry to meet and network. A must if you are in the business of designing, operating, maintaining or just running a plant or an engineering design office in our industry.

Creating a tradition: a European forum

This year we are making a special feature dedicated to the emergence, future and implementation of 3D laser scanning technology in the oil and gas industry. This technology has matured into a very good tool for the acquisition of data and information for plant information and engineering applications. Its ability to create 3D models with relative simplicity in the various available plant design systems has made it a valuable tool in our industry but more so in many other industries. We will look at the role it can play for both O/O and EPC in the execution of their projects.

With this in mind we are inviting companies that produce 3D laser scanning systems, applications and services throughout Europe to join us. Within the program, one track for a full day will be dedicated to presentations featuring the application of 3D laser scanning.
